Naturactor Coverface Foundation

Today, I'm gonna review my favorite concealer from Naturactor.  Naturactor Coverface Foundation is a product from Meiko which is a Japanese company that produces excellent quality products. These babies have been, and still are, being raved by different make up gurus and celebrities in and around the entire blogging world. 

I got kinda excited about all the blogs and positive reviews I read to I decided to buy one and try it out for myself.  I sure wasn't disappointed!

Packaging and Quantity

The product comes in a small plastic jar. The jar is white, with the Naturactor logo on the cover. The cover is a screw type lid, which is fairly easy to operate. Its 20 g in weight, which is a lot, considering that you would only need very little to get the results you want. 

Shades and description:

#130 - Lightest shade suitable for fair skin tone, giving your pale skin a rosy, white glow. Best used for bridal make up.

#140 - Also light in color for slightly deeper color than the 130, suitable for fair skin tone that has yellow undertone.

#141 - Medium skin color that looks natural and has translucent effect, suitable for fair to medium color and best used for shading. The colour transition of natural, soft, which is suitable for stage and studio make-up. Perfect for pinkish undertone.

#151 - Good coverage for face defects and shading, suitable for malay skin tone. 

#171 - Green neutralizes any redness on your face, from blemishes, irritation etc. It helps inhibit red complexion effectively covering the red spots left by acne.

In actual use:

Since my skin tone is really more on the Malay side, just a tad bit fairer, I decided to get the 151 shade and check how it works.

When I got the product, I was shocked at how dark it was in the pot! I was horrified knowing it cost me a lot and may not work. Fearing the worst, I did a swatch and imagine my shock when I saw how light the shade was! You'd soon see in the pictures, but I think the shade under natural light is 1-2 shades lighter than mine.

Anyway, the product blends like a dream. Its easily spreadable and blends really well. I use my fingers often but I sometimes use a brush, and it still works! I use it mostly as I concealer and this review would be the first time I would using it as a foundation. 

It dries to a nice powder finish. What amazes me the most is that even as I was sweating while finishing my make up, the foundation stayed put! It didn't melt at all. When I touched my face skin, it felt like I didn't have anything on. No cakey, heavy, oily feel to it. It just has a shiny finish after application, so be sure to use a setting powder.

My only irk is that it does cake in my undereye area, which is where I use it often. I'm still trying to find a remedy for that, but I am still extremely happy with this product!

I don't wear this as a foundation on normal days. I find it too tedious to do and its too fair for my complexion. I only use this as a concealer to complement my Face Shop Smart Capsule CC Cream. However, for this review, I decided to try using it as a foundation. I did love the finish; it covered face issues real well, but it was way to light for me.

Will I repurchase again?

Yes, of course! This is an amazing product which I will always make sure to have a stock of. I only hope that they'll come up with a shade that would suit me more.

Overall, even though I find the shade that I bought a little too light for me, I can see how well it provides cover to my face. Moreover, I really it being fragrance free, and since it is made with natural ingredients, it doesn't cause irritation or itchiness, which made it ideal for almost all skin type. I would really suggest it to everyone.
